Bio:

Al grew up high up in the mountains near the border of the frostfell. Subsequently the enemies he’s fought all his life have also generally been some what adapted to the cold. Thats why it seemed strange to most of the tribe why he was to trained to use the primal powers of frost, they weren’t as beneficial as some of the other primal powers in their environment.

So for most of his life he’s studied what many, including him self saw as a useless power, but the older warders insisted on it. As a result of this specialization he was never particularly aggressive and tended to take more of a defensive role in battles, buying time for others to form up and really press the attacks.

Al was sent to the underdark by the elders of his tribe to investigate the disturbances that cause the mountains to tremble. However for Al, this is a chance to explore and adventure and that is his primary motivation.

Al’s uncle, the shaman Wilgold Earthkin, known as Will, is the tribes leader and he raised Al after his father was exiled from the clan. Al’s father, who he never met, was exiled shortly after his birth because he could no longer keep up with the tribe. He suffered an injury that Will has never been willing to discuss with Al. His father subsequently traveled down from the mountain peaks and was never heard from again.

All Al knows of his father is that he was a mighty ranger before he was cast out of society.
